Access to cultural participation should be a right. Aware of this, FITEI is determined to make its programme and services more accessible so that it can match and respect the diversity of its audience. Through a series of measures and conditions that are being progressively implemented, the festival aims to promote physical, social and intellectual access and provide an inclusive experience for all those seeking to consume culture.

In this 5th edition, O Meu Primeiro FITEI will feature shows with subtitles in Portuguese and English and post-show talks.

Physical Access
All the venues hosting the festival are adapted for people with reduced mobility, including wheelchair users. The Teatro de Belomonte is an adapted space, however, access from the public road conditions independent entry. The FITEI and Teatro de Belomonte teams will be on hand at the venue to provide any necessary assistance.

Parallel activities
My First FITEI has a section dedicated to parallel activities with a series of initiatives that are completely free and open to the general public.

FITEI Safe Space
The festival wants to guarantee the well-being of all its audiences so that they can freely enjoy the best that culture has to offer. To this end, FITEI has created a completely safe space for reporting situations of a discriminatory nature.
